with my students I read a poem by Cecília Meireles
that we share with you, it is very simple, but adorable.

GIRLS

Arabela opened the window
Carolina opened the curtain
And Mary looked and said Good morning!
Arabela was always the most beautiful!
And Mary just smiled:
Good morning!
We'll think of every girl
who lived in
that window,
one called
Arabela,
But our
deep longing
is Mary,
Mary, Mary,
who said
with a voice of friendship:
Good morning!
